St. Bernardus

An excellent Belgian tripel-style beer. It has a beautiful golden honey color with an amber hue and a rich white head. It is produced at the famous St. Bernardus brewery, whose history is closely linked to two ancient monasteries: one gave it its name, and the other gave it its traditional recipes. Despite its high alcohol content (8%), St. Bernardus Tripel is very easy to drink. It also impresses even the most discerning connoisseurs with its complex and rich taste.

Taste characteristics

The drink has a light yet rich taste, which reveals notes of citrus (mainly orange), as well as white pepper, candied fruit, candy, hops, pear and apple juice. The aftertaste has hints of baked goods and a slight bitterness. The aroma is dominated by floral notes, as well as hints of citrus, malt, and spices.

Food pairings

This beer goes well with beef, soft cheeses such as Brie or Gouda, strong Swiss cheeses such as Gorgonzola, and various seafood dishes.
